2. Text with a sans serif font (such as Arial or Tahoma) is often easier to read on a computer screen than a serif font (such as Times New Roman).

To change the text font:

  • On the 'Tools' menu, click 'Internet Options'
  • Then select the 'General' tab and click 'Fonts'
  • In the 'Web page font' and 'Plain text font' lists, choose the fonts you would like to use
  • Click 'OK'. (In order that this works you will need to follow the instructions at the top of this page so that you can "ignore font styles specified on web pages")
